Chevrolet's sport utility vehicle lineup is one of the most comprehensive in the automotive industry. That said, when we talk about models that really stand out from the competition, it's hard to ignore the new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox.

With the new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, we get a compact SUV that is particularly fuel-efficient because of its new 1.5-litre turbo four-cylinder engine producing 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque.

More Powerful, yet More Economical

This engine replaces the old four-cylinder 2.4 litre very skillfully. For starters, it's more powerful, but it's mostly it's reduced fuel economy that really impresses. With an average fuel consumption of only 9.2 litres per 100 kilometres, the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is one of the most economical SUVs in its segment.

That said, if we are looking for something even more powerful, the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox can also accommodate us. Indeed, it is offered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine developing 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine, as powerful as a V6 if not more, is also very fuel-efficient while its average fuel consumption rating set at 10.9 litres per 100 kilometres.

The Chevrolet Equinox’s 2.0-litre turbo engine is available starting at $ 33,595 while the entry-level Equinox is available starting at $ 25,545. In both cases, we get a very spacious SUV that offers 850 litres of space behind the front seats and offers plenty of storage space and 3,500 pounds of towing capacity with the 2.0-litre engine as well.
